Q:Is this appropriate for use in an "Air-O-Swiss" Model 7135 ultrasonic Humidifier?
The instructions say to use only their cleaner, which is fairly expensive.
This unit does not have a rotating fiber belt but puts out a fairly good mist.
It's not an evaporative type.

A: I think a small amount would work like 1/4 teaspoon on fill up. The purpose is to controlled bacteria etc. It just a few drops.
by|Nov 17, 2022
A: Well, I've never used it. I only use distilled water in my unit and have never had any problems. If I need to clean it, I'd take it apart and use white distilled vinegar if needed.
That would be very inexpensive and you could buy it in 1 gallon jugs.

A: This is for Evaporation humidifiers, not ultrasonic. In evaporation, the humidifier wick is constantly wet, building up mineral deposits from the water, and possible bacterial growth. Ultrasonics don't have wicks.

A: No. It’s not harmful. We have four dogs and numerous other pets. If you DON’T use it, the humidifiers develop a type of fungal mold which then goes out into your air.

Q:Why does the SDS say the active ingredient is ethyl alcohol but the bottle I was shipped a week ago and the SDS I received directly from the company say it contains n-Alkyl (60%C14, 30%C16, 5%C12, 5%C18) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides? I called and the company and they said they haven't reformulated, but then why are there two different SDS with some reviewers saying it has alcohol as the active ingredient?

( 97.750 % ) other ingredients. Hope this helps.

A: Hello, MissD! GHS guidelines that went into effect a few years ago, dictate that any hazardous ingredient above 0.10% in the final formulation must be disclosed on the SDS. Ethyl alcohol is the only raw material that meets that “hazardous” definition. Melissa, AIRCARE
