A: I do not recall if it said on the packaging. Most likely it’s being produced in China or another Asian country.
Having used several of these myself, all I can say is that they work well. I have had no issues with these.

A: The Everbilt Satin Nickel Latch Adjustable Ball Catch is meant to be installed on the top of a door slab. This will not fit where there was a door knob hardware set.

A: While I guess that the ball/spring could go on either the door or the frame, all doors that I have installed have the ball on the door, and the catch on the frame. Generally plenty of room for the ball assembly hole in the door. Perhaps not room in the frame.

A: To adjust the height on the Everbilt Satin Nickel Latch Adjustable Ball Catch, rotate the threaded body of the ball until it reaches the height needed to contact the catch plate. The tension of the spring-tensioned ball can be adjusted by turning the adjuster at the bottom of the ball housing with a flathead screwdriver.

A: There is a ring at the bottom of the ball. You can use needle-nosed pliers to turn the ring. If you turn it one way the ball will come further out, if you turn it the other way it will go further in. Turn the ring to adjust it so that it will catch.
