A:  Hello - Thanks for your question; we are glad to assist. The running amps can be found on the unit's rating plate. If you are needing this for running the refrigerator on a generator, solar power, inverter, etc. and you can't check the rating plate, you can use the minimum amp breaker or fuse size recommended for this appliance as a guide. This unit requires a 15 or 20 amp fused, grounded electrical supply. Please keep in mind that refrigerators have a brief surge of power when the compressor cycles on. This is called the "surge" or "start-up" amps, and is about 2x to 3x the running amps. We hope this helps. Olga@GEA

A:  This item running amps can be found in the manufacture's sticker on the inside refrigerator wall. Below the serial number it will read 1.2 running amps - you need a 15 amp circuit to start the refrigerator operation. The compressor will run about 3 amps (just a little more than the running amps, but I'm not sure) for the frost-free operation when needed.

We do not recommend installing a refrigerator where temperatures will go below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, the unit is less efficient and will continue to lose efficiency as the outdoor temperature decreases. We do not recommend installing a refrigerator where the temperature will exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a possibility that operating the refrigerator in extremely high temperature could cause the oil to overheat and break down, thus damaging the compressor or sealed system. We hope this helps.
