A:  Hi Steven, Thanks for reaching out! This model can be converted from Natural Gas to LP if you would like. The conversion kit will come with the range. If you're uncertain about how to make this conversion, we would recommend a qualified gas installer be the one to make this switch for you. We hope that this helps! Stay safe.

Q:What is the length of the electrical cord and where is it attached on the back of this stove?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Christine. Thanks for reaching out! The power cord for this unit is 5 ft. long. As for the power cord location, there is a grayed out area in a diagram on page 2 of your installation instructions. That area is where your electrical and gas connections need to be in order for the range to be installed properly. We hope that this helps! Stay safe.

        Answer This Question

A:  Hello Marsha, thank you for your question! While the convection fans will make some noise while they are operating, they will not be overbearingly loud. Please note that the noise of the convection fans will combine with the noise of the cooling fans which are used to cool the electronics during operation. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. – CV

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi Fran - Thanks for considering our GE Slate Appliances! While mixing appliance finishes is a personal preference, our Slate finish is stone-inspired and considered neutral to compliment many finishes. The Slate appliances do have stainless handles and knobs. We suggest exploring Slate at www.geappliances.com/ge/slate-appliances.htm - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

Q:Does the oven glass and top get super hot while on? current stove gets way too hot (even heats up the kitchen drawers)

                Answer This Question

A:  Hi Fran - Thanks for viewing GE! Our ranges meet all standards set by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL). UL evaluates external temperature limitations for ranges. The front and sides of a range can vary from 152 to 212 degrees F., depending on the materials. There are currently no temperature limitations for the horizontal surface, or cooktop, of a range. It is normal for a cooking surface to be warm, or even hot to the touch when cooking. This is especially true if you have been baking or broiling for an extended period of time. On slide-in ranges, the oven vents at the back of the cooktop through the vent strip. Hot air is directed across the cooktop surface. If you use an oversized pan, heat will be trapped between the bottom of the pan and the cooktop and transfer a lot of heat to the cooktop. Your pans should not hang over more than one inch on each side of any surface burner. The inner oven glass is coated with a heat barrier to reflect the heat back into the oven to prevent heat loss and keep the outer door cool while baking. With any range, be certain the cabinets can withstand temperatures of 194F. We'd love to have you in the family. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

A:  Hi - Thanks for your interest! The stainless cooktop can be maintained using warm sudsy water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish. Cleaners with oxalic acid such as Bar Keepers Friend can also be used.
