The elbow piece can be purchased at The Home Depot along with the dryer vent. Also, the dryer will function without the back plate, but is a safety issue (keeps lint, dust, etc. from building up in the opening and it protects the components. The dryer cannot be ordered with a left exhaust vent ready to go out of the box. A:  I don’t know. The hole vent in back is about ankle height.

A:  Past a 90 degree angle. I have a door there so it won't go any further.

A:  I bought a narrow hose adapter for my wet/dry vac and taped it to a skewer to guide down in there.

Then you can use an appliance or extendable lint brush or use a vacuum with the hose attachment to clean this area. A:  Now on the 3rd repair due to loud squeaking when my dryer is running which is 3 months old. The repairman just noticed today that the drum is dented so he's ordering a new one. PLUS the door is also dented which was caused by the installer. What a mess! He said the return policy has to be within 30 days but Home Depot said once I signed for it, it's mine!
