A: Yes, but no. The way this shower arm is intended is for the longer piece to screw into the outlet in the wall and the smaller and downward facing section to be screwed into the shower head. It is meant to be used exactly as the photo shows. Straight out from the wall on the long piece and then slightly down for a rainfall type shower head.

A: Hello,
The raincan shower arm comes with standard shower head threads on the end.
by|Mar 20, 2019
A: Sure it will thread on to this arm. As you probably know a normal shower head is designed for an arm with a 45 degrees angle where this is a 90. So make sure your shower head is adjustable enough to compensate for the 90 degree angle.

Q:Will this arm work with a 3-way diverter? I want to have a hand-held shower head and an over-head shower head.

Answer This Question
A: Hi,
This shower arm has standard threads. As long as the diverter connects to standard shower arm threads, you should be okay to use a diverter.

A: No It beings the shower head a foot away from the wall. You will have a space at least 10 to 12 in from hand held to wall and it will be.facing bottom of shower or tub.

A: They are supposed to be 1/2-inch NPT on both ends, however the threads on showerhead side were slightly too large on both I purchased (and returned). I suspect its a manufacturing defect caused by threading the pipe before it is heated to bend the elbow; the heat expands the metal on that end. The threads on the wall side were standard.

A: As far as I know, Glacier Bay brand doesn't offer a longer length arm in this pattern, at least on this site. They do however offer a shower arm in a curved pattern that is 14 inches long http://www.homedepot.com/p/Glacier-Bay-14-in-Shower-Arm-with-Flange-in-Brushed-Nickel-59302-6404/205396686
