Questions and Answers for HARDWOOD REFLECTIONS 8 ft. L x 25 in. D Unfinished Acacia Solid Wood Butcher Block Countertop With Square Edge

A:  Food Grade Mineral Oil. It is right next to the wood and only thing recommended if you are going to use as kitchen countertop. You will need to oil about every 30 days or so.

A:  Bee's wax if you are planning to cut directly on it. You can stain it, if you like and are planning on more of a decorative look.

A:  I used coconut oil and bee's wax... Melt them together in microwave and let cool a bit... Then use paper towel to wipe on(I use three coats)butcher block... Let dry and wipe down and your good... reapply every 3-6 months...

A:  Yes! I stained and sealed it to be used as a counter top in the laundry room.

A:  Yes! You can stain and seal!

A:  10” table saw does just fine. Just make sure you have feed table extensions, it’s a heavy piece of stock.  

A:  We don't have a recommendation on a saw, but If you choose to cut the butcher block yourself, a new 60 tooth circular saw blade is recommended.

A:  Lorre, Yes. The B side we allow for a few more knots for more of a rustic look, but this side can still be planed or customized to your liking. And then correct again on the finish choice. If you are wanting something food safe, and with a cutting board you most certainly will, mineral oil is a perfect choice. Thank you!

A:  It is already done on both sides. I cut mine for a countertop and used the spare piece for a cutting board. Seal it bi-yealry with a natural bees wax.

A:  John, Of course! These are meant to be customized to your own project. We recommend a 60 tooth saw blade for cutting. If a rough edge occurs after cutting just be sure to sand out for an easy fix. Thank you, John.

A:  The product comes unfinished. The difference in coloration is caused by the different cuts of wood.

A:  Blondestar, Looks like this is available in other stores and online- I think it might just be waiting to be restocked in your area.
