A:  It is waterproof as in if it is filled with water it won’t leak. If you are asking about the lid, no it is not. The lid is a permanently attached 2 part lid that interlocks together when folded shut. If left in the rain it will fill with water.

A:  I've got mine full at the moment, but the best I can guess is about 3-4 lbs. Even the largest one I have, a 55 gal, weighs only about 6-7 lbs when empty.
