A:  Hello Pantry, Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Cabinets made with engineered wood are very challenging to paint. The veneer or laminate coverings do not take paint well and are likely to peel and chip. For these cabinets to be painted, they need extra sanding and priming before painting. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.
