A: I don’t sir, it’s on the box or on the instruction booklet
A: #egm1393a-4/bn
A: This product model number is EGM1393A-4/BN.
A: It should be mounted on the electrical box which should be mounted/attached to a stud.
A: It has some weight to it so a stud would be better or at least closer to a stud. I can't imagine it being yanked around much like a towel bar, and there are things like toggle bolts that work pretty good if needed. I hung two of these over a double vanity sink. One for each sink. One, I was lucky enough to hit a stud. The other one I used the plastic inserts and was a couple of inches away from a stud.
A: It should be attached to a standard electric junction box that is mounted on a stud.
A: You should always try to install into a stud. Drywall is not a secure install.
A: The light is no different than any other standard wall light. It would need a standard round light fixture junction box. And the junction box needs to be installed into a stud with a metal hanger, a cross stud, or with the use of a pancake junction box.
A: Any box with a standard light or wall outlet drywall/mud ring will work.
A: A round standard size box outlet will work for this. You can pick this box up most anywhere.
A: 1st of all it's not called an "outlet box" I'd do some researching before beginning this. Standard round old work box so long as no obstruction is behind location for fixture. If there's obstruction than have to use different box & if you have to ask what box to use. I recommend you get a professional to do the installation, since electricity is involved. Safely should always come 1st, not done correctly risk electrocution or inside wall fire.
A: I choose down to provide more direct light for the user. Combined with mirror it is an excellent area for makeup and hair.
A: The direction the lights face is not of any importance.
A: Downward reflects more light while using the mirror.
A: bought two of these units for a double basin bath vanity so I positioned them down pointing toward the counter and sinks.
A: Downward. The electrical box is installed at a height that having the lamp fixture upwards puts the lamps too high on the wall, too close to the ceiling. Also, with it upwards, you get less light for applying makeup, shaving, etc.
A: In the reviews, there are several pictures of fixtures in bathrooms with showers that rusted, and one says the finish is not covered in the warranty.
A: No, but for ease of replacing bulbs I will always install fixture with globe facing down. I recommend always leaving bathroom door open or install timer in place of a fan switch to reduce moisture from steam in bathrooms after taking hot showers.
A: Mine was installed in Oct. 2017. I have not seen any rust, but it is in a half bath with no shower or tub, so I couldn't really comment as this bath does not get very damp. However, I sort of doubt a fixture specifically made for a bathroom would tend to rust, unless you use some sort of cleaner on it which is not recommended. I would contact the manufacturer about that. Hope this helps.
A: Mine has shown no signs of rust yet and it’s in my bathroom,so I say no
A: I've had it for a year and it looks great, no rust.
A: I have not experienced any issues with rust with this product. Although I bought it very recently. I installed it in a rental unit that has a bathroom with a window/good ventilation.
A: Yes! I bought two for vanity lights and installed in my master bath, just a few months ago. Even with an exhaust fan and we always crack a window and immediately open the door after showers, one has rusted pretty good. I left a picture in the review section. Past the 90 day mark and Home Depot won't exchange the one even with the receipt. Manufacturer said not responsible if they rust. I've attached the photo below.
A: I have them in all three bathrooms and have 3 girls who shower alot. No change in luster and they show no signs of rust at all!
A: Yes. It is rust cover 5 year limited warranty.
A: METAL IN THE BATHROOM !!!..... People have to be aware that bathroom is the most place that is very humid, because people like to take HOT shower, and if you close that door after showering, definitely with the time the metal will rust. (ALMOST ANY METAL AND ANY QUALITY) So what I do all the time, is leave the door open for a while, also If you have Ceiling Bathroom Exhaust Fan let it rum all the time you bathe.
A: You can call the manufacturer see what they have, Home Depot does not carry them.
A: No. You can contact with The Home Depot Customer's Service @ 1(855)-HD-HAMPTON to get a replacement fixture.
A: It's 3, just like the picture.
A: No.
A: 3 lights, just like the photo
A: The 3-Light Brushed Nickel Vanity Light comes with what it says, and shows in the picture, 3 lights, not 4. I don't know if they have the same fixture with four lights.
A: No, only three. They do make them in 4, 5, 6, and even more. We had a small bathroom so 3 lights was enough.
A: This is dimmable.
A: Not as is. You could put a dimmer on your wall switch, though, at least I suppose you could.
A: Yes, I damaged one upon installation. I called the number in the Hampton Bay installation guide and they sent me a replacement. Great company to do business with.
A: Yes. Please contact Home Depot customer service team at 1(855)HD-Hampton for replacement globes
A: I do not think you can purchase from Home Depot, but maybe Hampton Bay... 1-877-527-0313 Customer Service @Hampton Bay HAMPTONBAY.COM
A: I know the Home Depot sells shades similar to this but even though I've purchased about 30 of these I haven't had one break yet. Might want to call Home Depot Customer Service because a lot of times replacement pieces and parts can be purchased that way.
A: I doubt that you can, my experience in searching for replacement shades is that you have to buy after market ones, either in store of on-line.
