Q:Where can I get replacement stakes for these lights? I've ordered 3 different ones on line but none of them fit.

A: Had same problem. Replacement stakes just break. I used 1/2 PVC cut to 24" which allows for almost a foot in ground= stability. The light including post fits completely over the PVC with plenty of play, but doesn't move. Lights are awesome and stable now

A: These lights slide perfectly over 3/4" EMT conduit. You need 9" inside the tube and another 4" to 6" to pound into the ground. It is very sturdy. You can make 8 stakes from one 10' section

A: 5 to 8 feet apart is generally a good rule. It's really personal preference / trial & error.

Q:I didn't expect batteries and so far they dont come on. How do they operate?

A: You have to remove the red pull tag, which is inside the glass dome, to activate the batteries
To do that hold the bottom piece with one hand and gently twist the top cap, counter clockwise and expose the the bulb and the tab and then pull the tab out This will activate the batteries, Do not fail to charge in the sun for 8-10 to produce a good light out put
