A:  Daryl, Measuring the middle light in this fixture - from the wall to the center of the bulb socket is approx 4.5 inches. From the wall to the edge of the glass shade- that sticks out the furthest - is approximately 6.5 inches. You can install the fixture with the glass shades facing up or down- the choice is yours.

A:  It sticks out 7 inches total from the wall. The back of the light is 1.75 inches from the wall at the closest, so your cabinet would get in the way. You could put a block of wood in between, but it might look funny. Mine just sticks out over a mirror, so no problem.

A:  Alex. the screw you put into the round mounting plate does not have to be put in tight. It is made to be adjustable- let the treads of the screw come out as far as you need them. Then put on the hex nuts and tighten the nut to the plate- holding the screw to keep it from turning. Make sure enough of the threads stick through the fixture for you to secure the finish cylinder nuts. If you need more or less thread protruding then adjust the screw in and out of the mounting plate as needed.
