A: No, you will not need an additional hub. However, you will need to create an account with Hunter through the "Simple Connect App" or you can also use Apple Home Kit to control the ceiling fan.

Is there any estimate when the Apache fan will compatible with the Amazon Alexa?
The Apple Home kit does work with the Amazon Alexa through the Phillips Hue.

You can purchase and pair additional remotes. I wanted an in-wall remote and used model# 99373. It works perfectly right along with the handheld remote that came with the fan.
