A:  TT, Our Husky impact sockets, extensions and adapters are manufactured using chrome molybdenum alloy steel, often called Cr-Mo or Chrome-Molly. This type of steel gives certain benefits to the socket when the large impact load is applied to it. This is why most professional grade impact sockets are made with this type of steel.
