A:  how are you running it? mine did the same, runs fine on the dc side. the pistons are very cheaply made but you get two separate pumps and motors for ac and dc.

      A:  This product is corded so it will always need a power source to plug in to whether it's 12v cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle or a 120 volt plug in your house.
