Questions and Answers for KING WATER FILTRATION Eco Series 15 GPM 4-Stage Municipal Water Filtration and Salt-Free Conditioning System (Treats up to 3 Bathrooms)

A:  This system will work great with any water heater type.

A:  Yes. For the installation it will require piping and plumbing. I left that up to my plumbing company. The amount of piping will depend on where your water source and drain source are located in your garage. You do not need any additional parts for the unit. The unit is complete.

A:  Yes and No. It depends on what you mean by back up battery. There is a back up for the digital timer/function panel. If your electricity goes out or the unit is unplugged, then once electricity is returned to the unit the timer will pick up were it left off. I know this because it has happened to me and I called the company to help me. They did. There is NO battery backup that will keep this unit running if unplugged or power is lost. You would need a generator for this and your other important electrical appliances if you live in an area with a lot of power outages. Again - I know this because it happened to me and I called the company for help.  I have found the manufacturer to be very helpful. You can call and get any question answered quickly. 

A:  Yes the systems do have a battery backup. 

A:  This system can remove or significantly reduce many of the forever chemicals, including PFAs.

A:  For most municipal water treatment you would not need to use a water softener with this unit.

A:  This filter will do a good job at removing sulfur smells, however it using on well water applications, we recommend doing a well test 1st so we can analyze the results to ensure compatibility.

A:  It most certainly can be used as such if desired.

A:  Yes. When you (or your plumber) set it up, it can be set for a specific number of days and a specific time of that day. The system "counts down" and shows you this daily on the digital monitor. When it gets to "1" it will automatically cycle at the set time. I have mine set for every seven days at around 1AM. If I'm still awake, I will hear it. The company is good about helping you "set" your system. I've had to call them a couple of times. What you have to make sure of is that you have the proper drainage system in your garage for this type for filter. The water has to have somewhere to go. Your plumber can tell you if you do. Also note that King Filtration offers the warranty. Make sure you take advantage of that. Hope this is helpful. :)

A:  My plumber told me that the only systems which can remove fluoride (a mineral) are Reverse Osmosis Whole House Systems. This filter is not Reverse Osmosis but charcoal based. 

A:  The time can be changed by simply holding down one of the arrow keys to move the clock in the desired direction. Up arrow will advance time and Down arrow will move the clock backwards.
