A:  Yes, I think four holes predrilled. My project change was beautiful. Used hand soap dispenser in corner. Single handle faucet had cover plate.

A:  Yes they are all pre-drilled. As for the two extra you can either cap off or we used one to add a soap pump dispenser and the other as an aerator for out dishwasher.

A:  The sink has a lip all the way around. You would need the inside measurement to know for sure. The sink is extremely heavy. Very good quality. I love it.

A:  The 36" base cabinet refers to the height of the cabinet, not the depth...….. make sure your counter top is deep enough (front to back), including back splash to accommodate this sink...…. Double check the measurements provided under "specifications" against your actual cabinet/counter top dimensions.

A:  I have had mine in for 6 months now and there are no scratches. It's been holding up very well for a family of 4.

A:  If you don’t want any scratches, you will need a rack. Keep in mind this sink’s design is not like most, the drain is in the rear and basin has a curve. You will likely need to purchase Kohler brand racks which are pricey. The cheaper option is a cut out sink mat, but those get grimy after a while and could stain the sink. I’ve had my Kohler for about 3 years now. I still love the sink, but it does have significant scratches and stains. I’ve learned to accept the scratches and consider it part of the sink’s character :)

A:  Handle the new sink with the same care that you used with the one you are replacing and it is not unreasonable to think that you will get the same length of service.

A:  Use the sink rack on both sides. The rack will protect the sink, save plates and glasses. Stay on top of keeping the sink clean. It likes to stain easily.

A:  The enamel actually doesn't scratch, the "scratches" are residue marks from the metal pots and pans in the sink and can be removed with a paste of lemon juice and baking soda, and a fair amount of elbow grease! Having said that, a sink rack will save you from that upkeep, but the sink is beautiful without it
