Q:Is there an added ignition system to purchase for this Kamado Joe Grill II?

Answer This Question

A:  There are a number of ways to light the Kamado Joe but there is not a built in ignition system. I’d recommend a Looftlighter or a propane torch.

    A:  The grill runs on lump charcoal. We suggest either the Firestarter cubes...KJ-FS or the electric fire starter KJ-ES which are both sold by Kamado Joe and available on HomeDepot.com .

      A:  You need only use a quality "lump" charcoal, I recommend using 1-2 kamado joe wax fire starter nuggets. or an electric grill coil style started.
