Answer This Question
A: Yes. If you install it as deep in the bay as it will go, the "stud line" measurement at the front of the wall box will line up perfectly with the face of the adjacent stud.

Q:Should this be put on its own circuit breaker?

Answer This Question
A: Just finished putting two on the same circuit in my shop. They're working great and not causing any problems. However, that is a 30A circuit with nothing else on it besides the two heaters, so there's a fair amount of extra ampacity.
Per the spec sheet, the 240VAC version draws a maximum of 9.4 amps if it's wired for the full output of 2,250-watts. That's 18.8 amps for two of them, which leaves 11.2 amps. That's plenty of extra.
However, you shouldn't wire this into a circuit that has other heavy, unexpected loads. If someone starts up a dryer or fills a big compressor on the same circuit, you may well trip the breaker... especially if it's a 20A circuit.

A: A dedicated breaker is recommended however you can put this on a breaker with other devices. Just make sure the breaker is big enough to handle the amperage of all the devices. If you are not sure about your breaker we recommend checking with your electrician. Q:Can this 120V heater be wired into an RV electrical panel and used when a generator is powering the RV?
by|Mar 5, 2019

Answer This Question
A: Yes, you should be able to wire it into your RV electrical panel. Please note, the depth of this unit is 4-7/16" so you will probably want to surface mount this unless your walls are thicker. We also offer this in a stainless steel model, PAW1215-SS, available on HomeDepot.com.
