You will need to allow 2′′ (50 mm) space below the armored cable opening to clear the electric cable and allow space for the installation of the junction box on the wall at the back of the cooktop. Empty space is needed underneath the cooktop for installation purposes. A minimum of 13/16" from the edge of the cooktop to the nearest combustible wall (either side of the unit) is recommended.
