Q:Can you paint the inside of panel?

    A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. The foil side of LP SmartSide with SilverTech cannot be painted. There needs to be a minimum 3/4" air space in front of the foil to allow it to function as a radiant barrier. Painting could also cause a condensation issue.

      Q:I wish to enclose my garage, which is part of the house, open on front and left{facing side}. Can I use SmartSide panels to cover the stud wall on the open side in FL?

      A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. The key thing to consider when using LP SmartSide panels in this application is whether the back side of the panels will be exposed to moisture. This can cause the panels to fail over time.

              A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. LP SmartSide panels can go up to 180 days after installation before painting is required. Generally speaking, though, it is preferable to paint as soon as possible.
