Q:Is it possible for a buyer to purchase the twin standard size 38"x75" mattress - then open the cover on one end, cut it down to a 72" length using an electric cutting knife, sew cover back up and use?

                          A:  Not designed to be. Bottom is not at all like the top so likely wouldn't be comfortable. We simply rotate end for end as instructions state. These are not constructed like typical mattresses which is why they're so comfortable and yet supportive.
