A:  It comes with a bracket that requires a large hole.  My husband says he didn’t use the bracket.  We love the soap dish : )

A:  Yes, they did, but I used different mounts.

A:  Hard plastic. No holes but drains of the back. 

A:  The inner 'shelf' is a plastic tray. It drai s of your wall is perfect vertiL or slightly tilted bak at the top. I drilled a 3/16" hole in the tray near the front. It is the most stylish, functional grab bar o have ever seen. Mine has been installed more than 1 yr and still looks great.

A:  Plastic, it doesn’t drain by itself. I just tilt it to let the water run off

A:  Mine is not rusting. I bought it in 2017. 

A:  Mine started rusting on one side. It shouldn't rust so I looked. The contractor must have lost a screw because they used a non stainless screw and the screw rusted. I removed it, cleaned it up, and replaced with stainless screw. Problem solved.

A:  The depth of the ends is 3" at the ends and 5" in the center. This is measured from the wall.

A:  If I understand your question write, Then securing to sheet rock alone is not strong enough. In order to be safe, It should be mounted directly to the shower or to the studs in the wall. This grab bar is designed for up to 250 lb. In order to hold that weight it needs to be mounted in this fashion. I hope this helps. Good luck.
