A: Thank you for your question on the XAG26Z18V LXT Lithium‑Ion Brushless Cordless 4‑1/2” / 5" Paddle Switch X‑LOCK Angle Grinder. The difference is that the XAG26Z has a paddle switch on it. The XAG25Z has a top switch.
by|Apr 27, 2021
A: The XAG26Z uses x-lock and has an electric brake, so the wheel stops a second after letting go of the paddle switch. The x-lock is a quick, toolless system for changing wheels. The XAG25Z has x-lock but no brake. The XAG04Z has neither.

A: This 18v cordless grinder has a hand grip switch instead of a thumb switch, and it has the toolless quick change design. This is the most advanced design.

A: Thank you for your question. The XAG26Z 18V LXT Lithium‑Ion Brushless Cordless 4‑1/2” / 5" Paddle Switch X‑LOCK Angle Grinder was designed to be used with our X-Lock quick change system . Makita does not offer a hook and loop for this tool.
by|Mar 29, 2021
A: I don't think so, but not 100% positive. Not sure Makita makes attachments for that. Your best bet is to contact Makita directly.

This tool does not come with a variable speed option, but it does come with other good features like the Active Feedback-sensing Technology (AFT) turns the motor off if rotation speed suddenly slows or the wheel is forced to a stop , for more details see the link below. https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/XAG26Z

A: There are no other wheels that are compatable with the Makita X lock wheels because of their locking mechanism.
