Q:Can I use a 50 ft hose with anywhere between 500psi to 800 psi? The last 50 ft hose I used was 150 psi and was of low pressure.

A: it lets you throttle back the flow which is nice when you want to move it from one place to another. it also helps determine the force with which the waters hits shrubs
and flowers. also, the greater the flow, the further the water goes for a given depth and width setting, so it acts as a finer-grained control for area coverage.
