A:  Because these pieces are so large and already has a faux grout printed on it (which is almost a brown/rust color), i would find something close to that. Others say you can choose your own color and grout over it, but we havent installed yet so not sure how it would hold.

A:  I did not use for that specifically and actually installed where I tore out a cast iron gas fireplace. The old tiles were far less substantial than these and held it just fine. These tiles are very heavy duty, so if you set substrate correctly (good plywood and backerboard, leveled, and with good thin set and grout) I don't think it would be an issue. I would not hesitate to use them. I used for office area and holds desks, roller chairs, etc., with no issues.
