Q:Will Dewalt hole saw arbor fit this hole saw?
by|May 14, 2022

Answer This Question

A:  Yes! If you read the description on the page for the milwaukee arbor, it states that it is universal to all hole saw brands. Given that info, there is no way to be universal to all hole saw brands, without all arbors being universal to milwaukee brand.

A:  I know other brands do, I have 2 or 3 different ones but I do not have any Dewalt. My guess is yes.

Q:Will it create a center hole? I want to cut 4? round wood circles with no holes?

          Answer This Question

A:  It works with an arbor bit to keep it straight. It does create a center hole,  You would need to  make a jig and remove the center bit to do what you want

A:  Like other hole saws, this needs a special drill bit that screws into its middle hole. All the bits I have that do this (They come with hole saw combo kits.) have a drill bit that extends beyond the hole saw to create a middle hole. Hole saws are quite difficult to use (not impossible) if there is not material for the drill bit to grab onto, i.e., using a bigger hole saw once a smaller hole is drilled out.

A:  you can but it need a bit to Gide it normally, the way around this is to get a 1 inch thick board & cut a hole through. the piece of board that has the hole clamp that over the wood u will make the round pieces of wood with board with hole is ur new Gide

A:  It will create a center hole if you use a drill bit to center the saw. But you can use this saw without a drill bit, you will need a way to keep it from walking all over the place. What I do is, use a scrap piece of wood, cut out one with the drill bit in place, then remove the drill bit from the arbor, clamp the scrap wood jig on top of the material you want to use and lower the saw into it. Start slowly then increase speed to what you are comfortable with. The jig should keep the saw in place while it cuts. Please know, in order to use this hole, saw you will need an arbor that will fit this saw and your drill chuck. GSB

A:  It will create a center hole if you use an arbor bit which you will need if using a hand drill. If you put the hole saw in a drill press, you will not need the arbor bit and you will be able to get the rounds that you want without center holes.

A:  This hole saw uses a pilot bit, which will create a center hole. If your project fits, the hole saw could be chucked in a drill press and used without making a center hole, but it will "walk" if used in a hand drill without the pilot.

A:  Unlikely. I attempts to use it to drill a hole (2 5/8) in stucco over metal lathe and I was deeply disappointed. It was not able to penetrate the stucco and completely dulled the cutting edge.

A:  Not a good choice for stucco. It will get you through the outer skim coat and then just wear its teeth off.

A:  The Milwaukee 5 in. Hole Dozer Bi-Metal Hole Saw is designed to cut through wood, plastic and aluminum and therefore would not be recommended to cut through the Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) walls.
