Q:can I use for concrete material?

Answer This Question
A: No.These bits are made for metal, wood and plastic. And with a step depth of 1/8 inch or so, the materials should be thin. The bits you need depend on what you are drilling, how big and deep the hole has to be, and whether you are using a hammer drill. If you are drilling smaller holes in oncrete and masonry, you need good quality carbide tipped masonry bits. If you are drilling tile (thin and brittle, so a hammer drill may be a problem), or holes larger than 1/2 inch, I'd consider a diamond plug cutter. I have had good luck with the "red" brand, (starts with M") and a spray bottle of soapy water for cooling/lubrication. A plug cutter
doesn't need a hammer drill, and the results are better than the carbide masonry drills IMO.

A: I mainly use these on metal. I have used a couple of times on wood and they worked fine - they can bind up so you just need to back up every few seconds.

Answer This Question
A: I don't believe they are. Drill bits are usually considered a disposable/wearable item. As far as I know their hand tools are lifetime warranty and that's it.

A: Use cutting oil and don't try to drill the hole in one pass. Drill a bit let it cool, drill some more and keep it wet with cutting oil so the heat doesn't dull the bit. It was the only bit that would drill out the lug nut stud on my truck.

A: These will work with stainless but as you know if you are drilling stainless steel heat kills. I wouldn't do to many holes with any step bit in stainless , they wont last long. The best to drill stainless is a Cobalt heat treated bit. They work the best.

A: Yes, these will work fine drilling wood, just don't use them to drill any metal other than aluminum. Even when drilling aluminum be sure to use a cutting oil.

A: Yes this is for metal, plastic and wood.

A: You can drill into wood, but it is far from optimal....and only effective in 3/4" at the large end of the step drill. The steps are around 1/8" so, they are designed for metal of that or lesser thickness. Buy a wood bit that is the size of the hole you seek.

A: No, use a spade bit to drill through-holes in wood. And, a forstner bit to drill blind-holes in wood. The only similar step-bit for drilling wood is hole-saw....great for larger diameter through-holes in 3/4" wood.
