Q:Does this work with the collated screw gun attachment? I know they fit but the length of the bits for the collated is 5.8 inches and this is a 6 inch bit.

Answer This Question
A: No, it will not work with the collated attachment. The collated attachment has it's own bits, part # 48-30-1000. It is a 5 pack of bits for the collated attachment.

A: Hello RBurgundy, glad to help answer your question. I am in the trades & it's useful to have a half dozen to a dozen available at any time for help or if a bit gets lost or misplaced. As an avid DIYer it also came in handy when putting my 2 outbuildings together (16ftx32ft) & having multiple tools laying about so one was always close at hand. these are but a few examples of why one would buy 5. I hope this helped.

A: Even as good as they are, just like any brand, they will wear out with use. Just because you have 5 doesn't mean you need all 5 at the same time.

A: Screw tips wear out over time, which leads to stripped screws and/or difficulty driving them flush. They also tend to get lost from time to time. On a bigger job, one could expect to go through a lot of tips.

A: Lulu,
You can buy cheap bits that way, but better bits are sold by type, meaning you can typically get a package of Phillips bits, a package of star (Torx) bits, and a package of flat bits, but not altogether. By the way, flat bits aren't that popular with power drivers as they tend to slip and mangle the heads of slotted screws.
