No solvent cement should every be applied to a “slip” joint side of a fitting. Hub x SJ and glue a 4801-2-F 2 x 1 1/2 in. into the hub end of the 4801-7 2 in. With these two fittings you can make a 1 1/2 in. hub x 2 in. slip joint trap adapter.
