A: Hello,
What makes it a traditional adirondack chair, is that slope, as well as the low seat.
Anything listed as an adirondack chair will have this.
Thanks,
Mindy

Q:screws are stripping polywood, what epoxy or glue can I use to hold them in place? Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: Hello screwylouie,
Thank you for reaching out about this issue. We are sorry to hear about the issues with the stripped screws. We do not advise to use glue or epoxy as we do not know how it would react with our furniture. To resolve this if you could reach out to Home Depots customer service and they will work with us to get you replacement hardware.
Thanks

Q:What are the actual chair dimensions? IOW, Floor to top back arch. seat depth, front to back depth, and seat height?
by|Jun 6, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello Mike,
From the floor to the top of the back assembly is 36.40 inches. The seat depth is 17.50 inches, and the seat height is 13.75 inches.
I think what you mean by front to back depth, is from the very tip of the arm rest that sticks out a little further than the seat, to the outside of the curved part of the back assembly, and that would be 33.59 inches.
Thanks for asking,
Mindy

Q:What is the difference between the Grant Park Traditional Adirondack chair and the Grant Park Aruba plastic chair
by|May 27, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello Jeanne,
If you are referring to the difference between the Grant Park Traditional Curveback Adirondack Chairs and the Grant Park Modern Adirondack Chairs, the main distinguishing factor will be the styling of each, and the curvature of the back assembly and the seat. The Grant Park Traditional Curveback will have a curved back and waterfall seat to add more contoured lines, whereas the Grant Park Modern Adirondack will have more clean lines to promote that modern, sleek design.
We hope this is helpful!

Q:Does the black color get hot to the touch in the sun?

Answer This Question
A: I was just at a store in Salida, CO, and tested out the heat of all the different colors. The black was definitely the hottest in the midday sun. The other dark colors (navy, dark green, etc) were definitely hot too. The lighter colors were much cooler.

A: Hello Kyla,
We've designed POLYWOOD furniture to remain outdoors in all climates, but on hot days in direct sunlight, darker lumber colors readily absorb heat. On hot sunny days, we recommend testing furniture temperature with the back of your hand to make sure it's safe to sit on. We also suggest moving furniture to a shady area or covering it with a suitable outdoor furniture cover.
Thanks for your question!

A: I believe so, but 2 years of rain/sun/little snow/some freezing (North Texas) and they're still exactly like the day I took them out of the boxes. Totally recommended.
