A: I would think that you could on top of weed blocker fabric. The number that you would need would depend on how deep a layer of sand is required and the area. I have used it for landscaping and to fill in a hole my dog made in the yard.

A: NO - You need dirt
by|May 27, 2024
A: I wouldn't recommend it for lawn leveling. You should use something like Scotts Premium Topsoil which also comes in convenient sized bags. it contains the soil and nutrients to help your lawn grow. I have used it for my lawn, flower garden and deck vegetable garden with great results.

Q:how much needed to cover ground under 18 ft pool
by|Jun 18, 2021

Answer This Question
A: Ask the pool manufacturer. If you want to take a run at the math, first calculate the square feet of the area of the space you need to cover. I am guessing you need it to be wider than the size of the pool. You can easily search on the internet for an area calculation formula for a circle. Once the area in square feet is calculated, multiply the area by the depth of sand you need. It is important that the depth is in feet and not inches. You must use the same units of measure for all dimensions. Now you have cubic feet of sand required. Divide the total cubic feet of sand by 0.5 to determine how many bags you need. Have two people double check all of your math. Once you see the total, getting a truckload of loose sand might be another option.

A: give me the dimensions of what you want covered and how deep you want to put the play sand (e.g., 18'-0" x 5'-0" x 4" thick or 18'-0" diameter x 4" thick, etc.)

A: g oogle : Sand calculator
when you find a calculator that you like, enter the boxes for length, width, depth, etc and then hit "calculate" and it will tell you how much sand you need for your project.
ALSO. If you look at the bag of sand pictured here on the website: they have a few calculations for you to see: attached photo.
For example: it shows that if you have to fill a 5 ft x 10 ft area, with 3 inches of sand, you'll need 25 bags of sand for that sized project.
Or you can use this formula (and remember to ROUND UP) AT THE END:
EXAMPLE:
A 5 FT X 10 FT AREA USING 1 INCH OF SAND IS CALCULATED AS FOLLOWS:
5 X 10 = 50 X 0.167 = 8.35 (SO WE ROUND 8.35 UP TO 9 AND YOU NEED 9 BAGS OF SAND!
