A:  Clarifier! Lumps together smaller particles and drops to the bottom of pool for vacuuming. Works well!

A:  Hi Cjep, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. This listing is for the Pool Time Super Water Clarifier, which improves water clarity by binding smaller particles into larger masses so that they can be more easily removed by the filter. A:  Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. The listed model number from the manufacturer comes back to the Clarifier. We will work to rectify the discrepancy. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Q:Will this reduce foaming in a spa? I have dosed 0.25 teaspoon twice and have not realized any change in foam production while the jets are on. (The water is nice and clear however.) Is it okay to use a defoaming agent with your product?

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi Michael, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. Our Super Water Clarifier acts to clear water by combining small particles into larger masses so that they can be more easily removed by the pool's filter. Super Water Clarifier does not reduce foaming. Excessive foaming in a spa can be a sign that the water needs to be shocked to destroy contaminants that have accrued through use or from the environment. If you would like to discuss further, or have other spa care related questions, please give our Technical Solutions Team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665). Thank you.

A:  It can be used for an outdoor fountain. However, if birds utilize the fountain for baths or drinking, it may not be safe.

A:  Hi Jess, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. We appreciate your interest in our Super Water Clarifier, but cannot recommend its use in an outdoor water fountain. Super Water Clarifier is a concentrated formulation that only requires one ounce (two tablespoons) of product per 5,000 gallons of pool water. Overdosing with this product can lead to additional cloudiness. If you have any other questions, please give our Technical Solutions Team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665). Thank you.

A:  No. It makes filter media sticky to remove smaller particles and not very well.

                  by|May 21, 2023

A:  I would not think so. It clumps together fine particles to be filtered out. So unless your fountain has a filter it would not work.

                        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Smilie, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. Our Super Water Clarifier can be used either for troubleshooting or as a maintenance product. The recommended dosage for either application is one ounce (two tablespoons) per 5,000 gallons of pool water. When troubleshooting, if the water is not clearer after 36 hours of filtration time, a second dose (one ounce per 5,000 gallons) can be applied. If you have any other questions, please give our Technical Solutions Team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665). Thank you.

A:  I don't believe there is a time limit. I normally put it in late afternoon the get in the pool following morning. What is dies is takes smaller particles and clumps them together so the filter can do its thing. If you go in the pool right after adding it, it might disrupt the clumping process

A:  Hi Cindy, We are the manufacturer of Pool Time products. Our Super Water Clarifier should be added to the pool at a rate of 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) per 5,000 gallons of pool water. After it's addition, assuming that the pH is between 7.2 and 7.6 and the free chlorine reading is between 1 and 4 parts per million, it is fine to swim. If you have any other pool care related questions, please feel free to give our Technical Solutions Team a call at 1-800-252-POOL (7665). Thank you.
