Q:Would this run and maintain a standard 30 amp camper trailer?
by|Jan 28, 2021
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Hi Stevie, Thank you for your interest in our products. We would like to confirm does this 30amp camper trailer releases a full 30amp or it's a combination? To properly size a system to meet your needs we would need to know the voltage, amperage or wattage, and run time of each of your items. This will help us determine how many batteries you would need to run these items for a day and how many panels you would need to charge those batteries within a day of peak solar production. If you could give me a list of your items with these values, I can see what kind of system you may need. Have a great day!

Q:Can two of these be wired in parallel to double the capacity?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi JackHinson, Thank you for contacting Renogy support. While you can combine the controller and the panels together in each kit to make a bigger system, buying 2 of these kits, will result you in getting duplicate items that you may not need such as combiner box, quad enclosure, cables such as adapter kits and battery cables. Should you have any questions, please contact us at 909-287-7111, Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 3:00 pm PDT. Please expect long wait times as we also are migrating to a new phone system. Again, thank you for your patience.

Q:I am running 50 Led 4ft lights (13watts each), I also have 3 ceiling fans (not sure of watts), 4 security camera systems with 4 LED TV's... I am pretty sure this will be able to handle this load and some. How many batteries will I need (LifePo) to have all my system running at peak with 3 days of no sunshine. My business is open 16 hrs per day.

      Answer This Question

A:  Hey Ash, Thank you for reaching out and for your technical questions. In order to accurately size a solar system, we would need to know the rated wattage of each of your loads and the approximate run time of the respective loads. With this 2,560-watt solar system, you can expect about 220 amp-hours per day at 48-volts. As long as your electrical loads are not consuming more than you are producing, you will have a well-balanced system. As far as batteries, we would recommend having a battery bank rated at a minimum capacity of 400AH at 48-volts. Please contact us with any other questions, have a great day.

Q:Will this system run a TV and a 15,000 BTU AC unit on my RV?
          by|Sep 20, 2020
          1 Answer
          Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for the question! This depends on how much wattage your items pull per day. The 2560w kit has the capability of producing up to 12,672wh per day or 12.6kw per day (2560w * 5.5 peak solar hours at a 90% efficacy = 12,672wh). So if your loads draw less than 12.6kW per day and you have optimal solar production it may. Thank you, M.S.
