      A:  Hi, The ends of this rod set are attached to the rod 's plastic inserts by means of a screw abuttment on the end piece( finial). You may be able to replace the finial with another brand. You just need to make sure the finial has a similar style of screw abbutment to ensure it will hold the new finial.
