A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. Summerguard is our lawn fertilizer+insect control combo, but it is best applied during peak insect season (usually mid-summer). We do not have a fertilizer/insect control combo that can be used in the fall.

A:  Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall Lawn Fertilizer does not control crabgrass. Products to prevent crabgrass from germinating are applied in the spring once temperatures are consistently above 65 degrees. Usually you apply between your first and third mowing.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our products! We recommend using Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts® Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food to prevent crabgrass in the spring and feed your lawn. This product can be used on all grass types EXCEPT Bentgrass, Dichondra, and Lippia. A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. We do not recommend using this fertilizer with grass seed as it does not contain phosphorus, a nutrient essential for root development. Instead, we recommend using Turf Builder Starter Lawn Food for New Lawns after seeding.
