A: The Simple Green Outdoor Odor Eliminator is active while it is wet on the area being deodorized. Once the area is visibly dry, our deodorizer becomes inactive. When deodorizing an area, it may require multiple applications over several different days to reduce or remove odors.

A: Yes, that's the whole reason I bought this. I use one bottle perhaps once a month the length of side of the house that we dedicated to a dog run. He's a Great Dane so there's a lot of aromatic pee residue to clean up.

A: Yes it is safe as long as the grass is dry. Wait a couple of hours before letting your pets on the turf or until it is dry.

Q:Should there be a waiting period to use this after applying fertilizer to the lawn? Will this help eliminate the smell of milorganite on the lawn?
by|Jul 11, 2021

Answer This Question
A: Simple Green Outdoor Odor Eliminator should not be used for some time after fertilizer is added to a lawn. Milorganite may last up to 10 weeks. It would be best to wait until after at least 10 weeks so the fertilizer can do its job before introducing our Outdoor Odor Eliminator.

A: Hi Patti-
The ingredients in Simple Green Outdoor Odor Eliminator can be viewed on the Safety Data Sheet found here:
https://cdn.simplegreen.com/downloads/SDS_EN-US_SimpleGreenPet-OutdoorOdorEliminator.pdf
What you will see on the SDS is that the product contains over 91% water, a large population of the bacteria that are commonly found in soil that can digest organic materials, a little SLS to help the product penetrate the soil, a polymer, and some fragrance. All of these ingredients will biodegrade in the soil - and the formula does not kill the beneficial bacteria in the soil. The SDS gives this information for the product as-sold ... not as it is further diluted when applied with the hose-end sprayer. When used according to label instructions, there are not enough chemicals in any concentration to harm the insects, reptiles, and amphibians found in your yard. Further, none of the chemistry breaks down into harmful degradation products. So, while we do not have laboratory test data on every organism in your list, based on mammalian/human oral toxicity (non-toxic) and the known data and volume of the chemicals that make up this product, plus the fact that the bacteria happily live within this formula, I can confidently state that this product should not harm nor imbalance the bio population of your yard. I hope that this information is helpful to you.

Q:how long does it take to dry
by|Jul 21, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Depends on how much you spray. Generally about 1/2 to 1 hour.
by|Aug 14, 2020
A: This will depend on how thoroughly you soak it, how hot it is, how humid it is, how windy it is, and how much direct sunlight it gets. You can presume it will have roughly the same evaporation rate as water. This product is best used during cooler times so that the solution does not dry up too fast. The ingredients will stop functioning once they dry, so you want to keep it wet as long as possible.
by|Jul 26, 2020
A: Depends on the weather conditions. You should spray it when it is cool outside, usually in the evening and then lightly spray water to keep your lawn moist. The active ingredients work best when it is moist and not dry.

Q:I have plants that produce edibles. Is it safe to use around fruit trees and edible plants?
by|Jul 13, 2019

Answer This Question
A: Hello! As long as the product is diluted per instructions it is safe for trees and plants. The formulation will biodegrade, so I would advise using it around edibles during a non harvest period. While the ingredients are at volumes that aren't harmful to humans, they are not necessarily something you'd want to consume either.

A: Sorry I have no plants where I use the spray.use it on my dog pen and the surrounding grass and it completely removes all the odor. My animals go there right after I use it and there is no effect on the. This gives a very pleasant smell in the yard.
