Q:Will this product withstand cleaning products (bleach, etc) or will it deteriorate faster than regular piping?

Answer This Question
A: It is probably better in the long run than metal piping. We wash our clothes by hand and use bleach, so far, no problem. I don't recall what exactly the material is, but it is made to be durable enough for everyday (though I can't guarantee industrial ) use.

A: It doesn't seem to. We use bleach and other cleaners regularly and have noticed no issues.

A: Yes, but take measurements to make sure you don't come up short. I am not sure if they have different sizes, but I did my fairly large double sink in the kitchen with it, and had just enough (with a little wrestling, lol).

A: This product worked for me.

A: Dear Customer - Thank you for contacting us. According to US standards each sink should have its own p-trap therefore we suggest installing two Universal-Drain-Kit for bathroom sinks (Model DK105) so that each sink has its own connection. Should you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at support@snappytrap.com or visit our webpage www.snappytrap.com Thank you!

A: Most bathroom sinks are plumed with 1 1/4" pipe the Snappy trap is made for 1 1/2" pipe. It could probably be made to work but it would be easier to use a kit made in the correct size.

Q:Hello,
I have a double sink vanity with drains about 33 inches apart. Can this product be use? Are the
hoses long enough? What is the maximum span between drains? Are longer hoses available? If not, are there any other models that would be better suited?
Thanks!

A: I don't see why not if you do the math and parts are long enough. The description states it is for double bowl sink and one of the photos given shows so which I provided here in my answer. Good luck.

A: I believe yes, it is compliant

A: My plumbing inspector failed mine but I'm not sure if he was aware the inside of the flex drain tube was smooth. If the inside of the drain tubing was like the outside that's what would cause it to fail.

A: Code would not pass if an Inspection was involved! I bought this for a older home.

Q:Using this for a double vanity and the hoses aren't long enough.

Answer This Question
A: I would try to add the “length” to the sewer line rather than add length to the kit parts. Or add a longer drain down spout if the issue is a high sink.
by|Mar 15, 2020
A: No, you can't add length. This type of trap is a "stop-gap" solution to a problem. The best solution is to do it with regular 1 1/2" PVC trap kits. The little edges of this kit tube will hold water and eventually grow mold/mildew in the tubes...emitting a bad scent.

A: I don't think it matters which side of the sink has the garbage disposal.
by|Jan 13, 2020
A: You can put it on either side.
by|Jan 12, 2020
A: I don't believe it matters, although it should be on side garbage disposal is one if you have one. Otherwise it will most likely be on same side as dishwasher is located on. Hope this helps.

Q:If both sinks are used at the same time can the water back up from sink(s)? Curious if 1 1/2 inch pipe that meant to handle flow from one sink handle two?

Answer This Question
A: Theoretically if you emptied a bucket of water in one sink and had the faucet running in the other one the water might back up into the sink till it could all drain out. Under normal circumstances you have one faucet and two sinks so you should not have any problem with them draining as long as there are no obstructions in the plumbing in your wall. I have never had a problem with my installation and am very happy with the product. Sure beats the two sinks with one common drain and the dish washer all going down one line.
I hope this helps Good luck
by|Dec 22, 2019
A: Dear Customer.- There shouldn´t be any problem as long as there is a good vent in the drain line or it has no obstruction in the discharge drain.
Please let us know if we can be of further help in the future (support@snappytrap.com).

by|Dec 23, 2019
A: No, as long as you have the drain pipes sloping away from the drain openings.
by|Dec 21, 2019
A: Yes it can. But you should actually use normal PVC plumbing pipe and not this baffle stuff. It’s a harbor for bad microbes and can break easily over time.
Use the real PVC pipe and plumb it the right way.
by|Dec 21, 2019
A: In our experience, no backup even when both sinks are draining. It has worked great!
