Answer This Question
A: Hello James, this will not work as a coupling to attach to PEX or PVC as this coupling is designed for metallic pipes. Plastic pipes have a high chance of cracking over time as they are not designed to withstand the pressure placed on them. We hope this helps with your project.

Q:CAN THIS BE USED ON GALVANIZED PIPE TO PVC?

Answer This Question
A: Hey ROCCO, we do not recommend using this compression coupling to convert galvanized pipe to PVC pipe. This compression coupling is designed to repair galvanized pipes; PVC pipes are not designed to stand up to this type of long term pressure. The Home Depot carries several types of adapters (push fit, or other special conversion adapters) that will help you achieve your project goal. We hope this helps with your project.

Q:Is there replaceable rubber seals available for this compression coupler

Answer This Question
A: Hello, unfortunately, there are no replacement gaskets available for this compression coupling. Typically once the gaskets wear out, it is recommended to replace the entire coupling as this is designed to be a short-term repair part, rather than a long-term solution. We hope this helps with your project.
