Q:I am having trouble locating a 2pole 40 amp spa disconnect. Can I use this enclosure with a 2pole 40 amp gfi squareD circuit breaker for my outdoor spa. Seems it would work as this load center is rated for 70amps.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Pete,
Unfortunately no, HOM215GFI, HOM220GFI and HOM230GFI breakers can be used in the HOM24L70F, S, or RB load centers due to adequate wire bending space for a maximum #10 AWG wire. This will restrict the HOM-GFI breaker to a maximum of 30 amperes.

Q:Can this be used as a service entrance disconnect with a single breaker backfeed to the busbars and output from the lugs?

Answer This Question
A: Yes. The back-fed breaker must be marked as the main disconnect and there is a kit to that locks the breaker in the panel.

A: Hi,
You can use a backfed breaker 2 pole 100A as max and when used as Service Equipment Install the service entrance barrier kit PKSB1HOMBF, but you can not use the lugs to use it as an outputs.
