I do want to mention that the core of our deck boards is still designed to handle the elements and environment, so you wouldn't have to worry about the integrity of the boards. At that point, it would just be the aesthetics. You can use a good quality exterior latex paint and then take a scrap piece, or sample board, to the paint store to have them color match it. A:  I have used it for fence and for gate. Makes a very heavy gate. Allow for weight both for fence and gate. Been up several years now. No change. Thinner stuff is lighter but it warps.

AZEK Deck/Fascia will expand and contract, move, and gap with changes in temperature, unlike wood whose size will fluctuate with moisture changes. Gapping is normal and some gapping can be expected. Using top[1]down fastening method for the deck boards according to the Installation Guidelines will help minimize expansion and contraction.
