A:  I laid it regular because I wanted to limit cuts, but this lays so well it doesn’t really matter.

A:  That is up to you, choose the style that pleases you the most. Mike

Q:Will scissors be able to cut these carpet tiles? If not, what must be used to cut these to fit the space? I'm going to apply them to steps in an RV and they are curved steps which will complicate the process!

      Answer This Question

A:  I used a razor blade in a handle to cut them. Maybe heavy duty scissors will work but everyday scissors will work but everyday scissors will not

A:  Sharp blade on utility knife will simplify the process.

A:  You will need to purchase 6 boxes to complete your project.

        by|Jan 20, 2020

A:  I would say 10 boxes if you do not have to cut many tiles due to room angles. Otherwise, 11 to be safe.

Q:If installing on concrete in basement, do you need a vapor barrier? If so, will it still stick in place?

                  Answer This Question

A:  I installed mine on concrete in basement. I did not use a vapor barrier as I don't get water in my basement. Most stick in place but I had to glue a couple in areas that did not stick,. This was the exception not the norm as most worked. Be careful of the direction arrow because the rug doesn't look right when carpet is going the wrong way. Mine have been down a year and I have had not problem.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Yes the tack boards will not be needed for this install.

                  by|Oct 15, 2019

A:  We removed the tack boards because the carpet tile won’t lay flat on those edges and will be noticeable. They are basically large stickers that need to lay flat.

                      Answer This Question

A:  I don't think the backing adhesive is strong enough to stay on the wall. They could be glued and they would stay, but this would make it hard to remove later.

A:  The carpet has a sticky back covered with plastic that you remove. I put it on concrete and it stuck well. There is an arrow telling you which way to place each piece and is easy to install. I would make use your flooring is clean prior and I would test a to see if it sticks to this with one piece first. I love the look of it and it is hard to tell it is carpet squares.

A:  Is this question necessary? The sq.ft coverage is listed on the box. Just divide your total by the box number and order one extra box. Come on, man!!!!

A:  There is 22.5 sq ft per box. I would get 13 boxes to be sure you have enough to complete your job.
