A:  I have not notice the odor mentioned. It is the mat at the kitchen sink so I know that in time it will have spills on it. Must be washed occasionally, I'm sure.

A:  I can't even put them in my garage yet. They are hanging on the clothesline everyday until they offgass enough. At night they are out in a shed, not my house. Not sure how long the off gassing takes...

A:  Mine did not have a strong smell. Could have been something in the warehouse or shipping process. Consider taking it outside and washing with a garden hose and stiff brush.

A:  Yes the rubberized backing does have a smell. It quickly dissipates. I actually use three of these style mats/rugs in the lower level of my house.

A:  Yes, home depot sells this bigger item it cost more though about $59. whereas the 36 x 60 is only $35.

A:  I bought several of these mats last year along with some smaller mats of the same color. I purchased them From a Home Depot store near us (In Waltham MA). I do not recall that there were larger mats of this color. If you go to the website of the manufacturer I recall that there was an ability to enter a specific size. The mats are great by the way. A:  I never thought about putting them in the garage and parking my car on them, but they are awesome as a mat outside each door. They pick up a lot of dirt, and I just vacuum them and they look like new.

A:  Yes, it smell, but considering the product is made of rubber and some synthetic material , I expect that it is going to smell. But it will disappear with time (hope so). I will just keep vacuuming and see if it's going to help. I think you should not use it in a close space, like car. It should be used in an open space where the air can circulate.

A:  There us a vinyl backing on the mat that helps slipping.
