Q:Can i use with undermount sink with drain overflow

Answer This Question
A: Hi Tonie,
The pop-up drain can be installed on a sink with an overflow hole. However, any water that will enter the overflow hole will leak down to the cabinet under the sink, so it is not recommended. The correct model for sinks with overflow holes is our VG16002.

Answer This Question
A: I had the pop-up drain installed by a professional plumber in my guestroom sink. The plumber did not put the bottom gold ring in. Thinking he had forgotten to install that piece I had him come back, he told us it doesn't fit in the sink basin we have. I have no idea about different available sizes, I would consult a plumber on this question.

A: I don't think so. I think your opening is to big for it to seal

A: Hi Sean,
Our vessel bathroom sink pop-up drain assembly fits a 1 3/4" diameter drain hole but is not meant for tub installation. We advise to seek assistance from your local plumbing store to find out what they would recommend for your application.

A: Hi Beata,
Our Vessel bathroom sink pop-up drain assembly can be used with any faucet and it really depends on the sink and counter top. The required drain hole diameter is 1 3/4" and sink plus counter top thickness must not be more than 2 1/4". Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns by calling 1-866-591-7792 option 2 or send an email to sf@vigoindustries.com.We are open from Monday-Friday, 8am - 5:30pm EST.

Answer This Question
A: Hi John,
If your sink doesn't have an overflow hole, our vessel sink pop-up drain, VG07000BN should work as long as the drain hole diameter of your sink is 2 3/4". However, if your sink has an overflow hole, you will experience leaks. Our pop-up drain with overflow hole model number is VG16002BN.

A: Hi Stan,
The only difference between the two is that one is in Brushed Nickel finish, VG07000BN, and the other is in Chrome finish, VG07000CH. The diameter of the top is 2 5/8". You can call 1-866-591-7792 option 2 or send an email to sf@vigoindustries.com if you have any other questions.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Joanne,
The top of the drain would first have to be unscrewed off and you should do this by hand so that the finish is not damaged. You can use rubber gloves to get a better grip of the top. Once done, you should be able to see the inside of the drain. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns by calling 1-866-591-7792 option 2.
