A:  Good question, Lisa! I will be honest with you in that I really could not honestly answer that as I work for Weatherables and can only advise on Weatherables product. I am not familiar with Veranda product because they are a different manufacturer than us. However, I can provide you with any measurements etc about the Vilano product. A:  Good questions, Jennifer! We have post sleeve kits that can be either sleeved over existing posts or mounted to a wood or concrete surface with mounts that are sold separately. You will need one at each end of each railing unless you have an existing structure that you can attach to. You will also need to purchase an extra set of brackets when splitting your railing in half. The included brackets are made for going down the stairs at an angle of 30 to 40 degrees.

A:  3.5 inches between your post and first and last spindle and the rest of the spindles are 3.226 inches apart.
