Hi GLA, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your purchase of this mirrored medicine cabinet. We understand you have already reached out to our customer service department for assistance and learned desilvering is not covered by our warranties. Moisture is usually the primary cause of desilvering in mirrors. Even when it's hung up on a wall, exposed silver nitrate will begin to react with particles in the air, moisture, or even the products used to clean the mirror. When silver nitrate and copper sulfate oxidize, the result is black edges on the mirror. In order to reduce the chances that desilvering occurs, we suggest running a ceiling exhaust fan in the bathroom and/or keeping a window open when possible to help reduce moisture. Also, the best way to clean this mirror is with warm water, soap and a non-abrasive brush to avoid damage on the mirror. Typical glass cleaners contain acid alkali or ammonia bases, which can be harmful to mirror edges. We apologize again that our product did not meet your expectations. Thank you for your business.
