I bought the kit to repair the floor in my fiberglass T.T. where a leak caused water damage and decayed the wood. I spent about a hour preparing the repair spot. I bought a second fiberglass mat to make sure I have enough to finish the job. The repair area is about 15in x 5in. in a crescent shape with a fiberglass lips on the shell that needs to be filled in. After cutting 3/4 of the included mat into smaller pieces and a few of the woven mat, I started the first layer. About 6-7 mixed layers of of resin then laying the mat in to fit and fill out the hole. Take your time preparing for the repair and plan it out, read the instructions. Follow the instructions on how to mix the resin and activator. (For first time users) I've used this multiple times over the decades, lessons learned are above. A few of the times I have tried to shortcut the process it's not worth it.

Had a 2 inch diameter hole in the bottom of my fiberglass tub thought I was going to have to rip the walls out to rip the tub out and replace very time-consuming and very expensive. Kinda irked that no one at the Bondo factory decided to screw the cap on after production. It’s easier to work with when your hands aren’t coated in resin….. imagine my poor car seat. Works good when sealed though!!

This produce works very well for both its intended purpose and for the "off label" project I used this time. I used it to fill a couple of spots in a piece of maple that became a "barn door" on my office.

Works good and hardens quick.

My experience using Bondo's Fiberglass Resin was disappointing. After one week, a section of the resin curled and then delaminated, leaving me with no clear idea as to how to remedy the product's failure.

Great product. May need alittle heat or heatlamp to help cure in colder garage temperatures. I used it to repair my lower garage door panels in junction with the fiberglass mesh.

I bought this resin because my snowmobile Hood got a 5 inch crack in the hood. I also bought the fiberglass mat for the repair. I sanded and cleaned the crack. And then I bought pistol grip clamps to straighten the crack out. Prep the cracked by sanding. I used a scale and put one ounce of fiberglass resin with 10 drops of hardener. Mixed it with a little wooden stick. Use a small paint brush dipped it in the resin and brushed on the area of repair headed my fiberglass mat then brushed the fiberglass resin on the fiberglass mat. The crack was repaired in three steps. Looks like a professional body shop repair. FYI Body shop repair $1,500 Home Depot repair Doing it myself. $30.00 Thank You Home Depot

If you really need great adhesion to smoother surfaces, I'd suggest epoxy resin. But if you can rough-up the surfaces, are working over old fiberglass or previous layers, this stuff is great. Measure the hardener carefully and adjust the quantity to your application. I mix 4-6 oz resin with 8-9 drops hardener at 80-90 degrees F and it begins to gel in about 15 minutes. I'm building water tanks for a RV van project. I'm using this resin with cloth and mat to attach and seal FRP sheets.

A fiberglass ladder had developed a crack about 6 inches long along the edge of one leg. The resin along with some fiberglass cloth applied to both sides of the crack made the ladder safe again.

Follow directions printed on the product and you get excellent results.

Followed the instructions on the can...and it won't harden. Mixed exactly 8 oz with 80 drops of harder, mixed and used a paint brush to cover my outdoor town clock...now I have a goo finish. Paint brush harded but not the clock finish....

I’m sure it’s good for handyman repairs but this resin has an amber color to it, much like maple syrup so when it cures, it’ll have a brown tint to it, and that will look really ugly on any surfboard whether plain white foam or if you have a tint or spray job on it. Even after adding an opaque jade green pigment to my batch, it still looked brownish. Imagine a full glass job with this stuff! If you’re fixing your own dings, get clear surfboard-specific resin from a surfboard supply company.

Worked well. They should provide a bigger tube of catalyst - I ran out of it but had plenty of the base material left. But otherwise the product works well.

Poor, I was sent a similar product, not what I ordered. I lived with what was sent as I didn’t want to be bothered with returning the item. Image is what was sent. I ordered the blue fiberglass resin.
