The instructions said I had 5 minutes working time after mixing in the hardener. I mixed it quickly and instantly the Bondo wood filler started setting up within a minute it was not workable. It set up so fast I tried to spread it out of the bowl and it was hard before it hit the wood. It was a waist of Money. Now I've got a huge mess to clean up.

I reviewed this on December 19, 2017; but I wish to elaborate. I cut out a section of silk oak flooring (highlighted in yellow in the attached photograph) that was damaged by drywood termites. I filled the void with Bondo Wood Filler and sanded it down. Next, I spotted the surface with a permanent Magic Marker of the appropriate color to match the darker areas of the wood. I, then, smeared the ink in the direction of the wood grain with a cloth saturated with acetone. Finally, I sprayed the surface with clear, matte finish, polyurethane. No one knows the floor was ever damaged.

I used this to fill a long hole about 24 inches by 1/2 inch of rotted out window casings at my home at the beach. It mixed well and gave me several minutes of work time. As it heated up it got stiffer and I was able to work it into the hole completely before it got crumbly. Then once it set up it sanded just like wood and took paint very well. I would buy it again for any small to medium job.

What a nightmare and waste of time. I used this to fill in joint, nail and screw holes in several newly installed doors. A small tube of cream hardener wasn't enough to harden this product. I made a huge mistake doing several doors only to have the product never harden, even after 3 days!!!! A complete nightmare to remove the putty, dough like and sticky product. It smears and wont sand of because it gums up the paper, you need acetone to rub and rub and rub it off. A tiny .5oz tube of hardener is clearly not enough for 12oz of product. A nightmare and waste of time. See the picture.

Awesome. My father was a body and fender man and I used to help him with Bondo on cars. When I saw they made wood filler, I immediately tried it. I work with wood, more on a creative basis, and tried other fillers with no satisfaction. Bondo is fast drying, allowing you to finish within hours instead of days. And, very strong, you can sand, carve and shape within minutes after application. I'm glad I tried it. Thanks Bondo. I highly recommend Bondo wood filler.

This product did NOT stain at all for our project. After days and days of sanding, re-sanding, filling gaps, sanding, staining... there are huge areas where the floors have blemishes and all those hours of work and money and the beauty of the floors is just not there. So disappointing. I would not recommend this product for a project such as restoring beautiful hardwood floors.

Great for filling in after repair. Make sure to mic a small amount at a time. It cures very quickly but sands down to a printable surface

Bondo did the job, but it does not spread smoothly, which requires you to do a lot of =sanding and reapplication. Also, it is VERY expensive. In the future I will look for alternatives that solve the problems mentioned above

This product is horrible it is very rubbery and hard to sand. I bought an electric sander and it is still extremely hard to sand down due to it being so rubbery, it actually ruins the sandpaper. It does not dry or harden. I have only gotten 1 chair done I still have 5 chairs and a table that I already put this stuff on. Anyone how to get this stuff off?

          JUNK
i have been using bondo for years in the auto industry and home renovation. but this stuff is junk read the reviews prior to purchase and mixing and color issues. as per usual body filler i never added alot of hardener. added the same amount of hardener to this product only to find it still incurred after 24 hours practically ruing my 4k trim work. 3m leaves these ridiculous automated replies to the reviews. so how much they care.
