It's a concrete block. The quality is good used them in a deck project that was about 500 sqft

They were perfect for my project - an above ground...
They were perfect for my project - an above ground vegetable garden - and arrived in good condition.

These worked well for a raised bed garden container. Easy to install with construction adhesive and they hold heat for my veggies!

Basalite
This product saved my landscaping. I had a landscaping wall from wood that had fallen from rotten wood.I could'nt afford a contractor to replace it so I replaced it with Basalite blocks. Wow!!! This was was much easier than the heavy long tembers and I was able to install it myself with a little help from a home depot's how-to online. Must say looks great!!!!
