board was straight and warp free clear pine S4S

I found this to be a premium board. Strong, straight, finely sanded. Edges were square, grain tight and no knots. Easy to work with, dry and dense but not sappy. It’s expensive but a pleasure to work with.

Nice and smooth. Material good quality and they would be perfect if o was building a arch. They were bowed, twisted and warped.

Odd thing for Home Depot to ask me for a review of... but since they did, here goes: it’s a fine piece of wood. What I find weird, though, is the tag on it said it was a product of New Zealand. So, I guess if your intention is to do good for the planet, search a local lumberyard for American stock.

This may be a mere board to some, but this 5/4 board was straight, clean, with a very nice density. Definitely not a "soft pine”. This one board will yield many scroll sawn jigsaw animals and puzzles for children.

Could not be happier

It has some manufacturing/machine marks here or there. Also 1 piece out of 5 might be bowed slightly. Overall its high quality center cut or core wood so it makes for a very nice finish. Still should properly sand and prep before stain and urethane though.

When staining the wood it bubbled in 3 places. Not happy

Using the five quarter is mantle material wasn't that bad
